Overview
A vibrant, multi-era collection of Fiesta dinnerware featuring iconic concentric rings, semi-vitreous glaze, and a spectrum of signature colors. The assortment includes highly sought-after serving pieces such as a nesting bowl set, disc pitchers, teapots, and specialty table accessories.
Story
Introduced in 1936 during the Great Depression, Fiesta revolutionized American tables with affordable, mix-and-match solid colors. Its cheerful hues offered a bright antidote to economic gloom, quickly becoming a design icon of the working class.
Maker / Origin
Designed by Frederick Hurten Rhead, an English-born potter who became the art director of Homer Laughlin China Company, Fiesta was a masterclass in functional Art Deco design. Rhead's vision of art for the masses transformed the West Virginia pottery into a powerhouse, producing what would become the most collected brand of dinnerware in American history.
Condition & Value
The collection appears to be in good, usable condition with vibrant glazes. Closer inspection is required to check for flea bites, glaze scratches, or utensil marks on the plates, as well as chips on the delicate rims of the nesting bowls.
