Overview
A refined example of Swiss minimalism, this Omega De Ville features a tonneau-shaped stainless steel case and the ultra-slim Caliber 1350 quartz movement.
Story
The late 1970s was a period of high drama in Switzerland, as traditional watchmakers scrambled to survive the 'Quartz Crisis' that threatened to make mechanical gears obsolete.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt, Omega has grown from a small workshop into one of the most recognized names on Earth, famously serving as the official timekeeper of the Olympics and the first watch on the moon.
Condition & Value
The dial appears remarkably clean, which is excellent for its age. However, the case back shows significant scratching from past battery changes, and the leather strap is heavily worn and should be replaced to ensure the watch is secure.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
