Overview
A fine English bone china saucer in the 'Hazlemere' pattern, featuring a delicate floral motif and an unusual, wide metal-clad rim.
Story
During the 1920s, high-end department stores and jewelers like Tiffany & Co. would often take imported English porcelain and commission silversmiths to add decorative metal rims, turning a standard tea service into a prestigious wedding gift.
Maker / Origin
Founded by Thomas Minton in 1793, Minton became the favorite pottery of Queen Victoria and was world-renowned for its technical perfection.
Condition & Value
The porcelain appears to be in excellent structural condition with no visible chips or 'crazing' (fine cracks in the glaze). The metal rim is heavily oxidized/tarnished; if it is sterling silver, it will polish to a bright shine, but if it is silver-plate that has worn through to the base metal, the dark patina may be permanent.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
