Overview
A solid, hand-sculpted art glass figurine of a koala, featuring a complex 'frit' interior of earthy browns and creams encased in clear glass.
Story
In the early 1990s, an Irish-born glassblower named Eamonn Vereker set out to translate the rugged beauty of the Australian Outback into the fluid medium of molten glass.
Maker / Origin
Eamonn Vereker emigrated from Kilkenny, Ireland—a city with a deep-rooted history in craft—to Australia, eventually opening his own studio in Adelaide in 1994.
Condition & Value
The figurine appears to be in excellent condition with no visible chips to the delicate ears or nose. The original paper label is intact on the base, which is a major plus for provenance. Excellent condition is vital for art glass, as any surface scratches or chips would reduce the value by 50% or more.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
