In the early 1900s, American glassmakers discovered that spraying metallic salts onto hot pressed glass created a rainbow-like sheen that mimicked the incredibly expensive Favrile glass made by Louis Comfort Tiffany.

Condition & Value

The iridescence appears well-preserved without significant 'rubbing' or wear to the metallic finish. The handle attachment points look secure, though the buyer should check the ruffled rim for tiny chips which are common in pressed glass. Excellent condition maintains the modest market value.
