Maker / Origin
Coalport was established by John Rose in Shropshire, near the famous Coalbrookdale gorge. Renowned for its superb translucency and elaborate enamel decoration, Coalport supplied fine china to British high society for over two centuries before merging with Wedgwood in 1967.
Condition & Value
Appears to be in very good vintage condition with bright enamels and intact gilding around the rim. Minor unglazed shelf wear on the foot rim is normal for age. Excellent condition preserves its decorative appeal.
