The four-character mark 'Fuki Choshun' translates to 'Wealth, Honor, and Everlasting Spring'—a classic blessing used on fine Japanese export wares to wish prosperity and long life to its owner.
Maker / Origin
Produced in the historic ceramic center of Arita in Saga Prefecture, where porcelain manufacturing in Japan began in the early 17th century. During the Meiji and Taisho eras, Arita kilns revived and adapted classic Chinese Ming-style and historic Imari motifs for both domestic display and international collectors.
Condition & Value
