Overview
A striking pressed glass vase featuring a high-relief 'Loganberry' fruit pattern on the upper half and a geometric 'Near-Cut' style base. This specific example showcases a rare ombré or 'flashed' transition from a vibrant spring green to a clear, slightly rosy-tinted base.
Story
The Imperial Glass Company survived the Great Depression by making 'luxury for the masses.' This Loganberry pattern brought the lushness of an Ohio summer garden into post-war American living rooms with its heavy, tactile fruit motifs.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1901, Imperial Glass was one of the giants of the Ohio River Valley glass industry. They were masters of 'Carnival Glass' and later became famous for their 'Free Hand' art glass, always pushing the boundaries of what pressed molds could achieve.
Condition & Value
The glass appears clear with no major clouding (sickness). There are minor surface scratches consistent with shelf wear, but the scalloped rim looks remarkably free of the typical 'flea bite' chips. Condition is very good, preserving roughly 90% of its market value.
