Overview
A beautifully crafted, heavy lead crystal cream or syrup pitcher featuring the iconic 'Lismore' pattern. This piece showcases the signature diamond and wedge cuts that catch and refract light with stunning brilliance, complete with a classic applied handle and a starburst-cut base.
Story
In 1952, designer Miroslav Havel created a pattern inspired by the gothic spires of Lismore Castle in County Waterford, Ireland. It became the most famous crystal pattern in the world, gracing prestigious tables globally.
Maker / Origin
Established in 1783 by brothers George and William Penrose, Waterford Crystal became world-renowned for producing glass of unparalleled purity and brilliance. Though the original factory closed in 1851, the brand was spectacularly revived in 1947 by Czech immigrants Charles Bacik and Miroslav Havel, who brought European master craftsmen to Ireland to rebuild the legendary industry.
Condition & Value
The pitcher appears to be in excellent vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or clouding. The acid-etched 'Waterford' mark on the bottom is partially visible and authentic. Excellent condition with no flea bites on the cuts preserves maximum value.
