Overview
This is a classic 1/16 scale die-cast model of a J.I. Case 'Agri King' series tractor, produced by the premier American toy maker Ertl. Finished in iconic Case Flambeau Red and Desert Sunset White with a full safety cab, this rugged toy was both a promotional dealer piece and a beloved childhood staple.
Story
In 1969, J.I. Case shook up farming with its futuristic '70 series' Agri King tractors. Ertl immediately forged heavy die-cast replicas so kids could farm right alongside their parents on the living room rug.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1945 by Fred Ertl Sr. in his Dubuque furnace basement during an aluminum strike, the Ertl Company grew into the undisputed world leader in die-cast agricultural scale models. Based in Dyersville, Iowa, Ertl partnered directly with equipment giants like John Deere, Case, and International Harvester to produce faithful promotional miniatures.
