This is a handsome 1950s Swiss-made Tissot Automatic wristwatch featuring an elegant two-tone dial with a textured guilloché/waffle outer track. Housed in a gold-plated or gold-filled case with sculpted lugs, it likely contains one of Tissot's celebrated early automatic movements (such as the caliber 28.5-1 or 31-21 bumper).
Story
In 1930, Tissot and Omega joined forces to create the SSIH conglomerate. This 1950s watch shares direct engineering DNA with coveted vintage Omega Seamasters of the exact same era.

Founded in 1853 by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Émile in Le Locle, Switzerland, Tissot became a pioneer in mass precision watchmaking. During the mid-20th century, their close partnership with Omega meant Tissot watches featured movements and case designs crafted to virtually identical Swiss high-grade standards.
