While unsigned, this style is consistent with the Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the titan of American cast iron toys and doorstops. They employed skilled artists to create lifelike animal studies that remain highly collectible today.

Condition & Value

The paint shows significant honest wear and 'crazing' consistent with age, particularly on the head and base. There is some oxidation visible on the underside; however, the lack of major rust or structural cracks is a positive. Original paint is always preferred over restoration.
