Attributed stylistically to the Tosa or Sumiyoshi School workshops, which held the hereditary monopoly on classical court painting (*edokoro*) serving the Imperial Court and the Tokugawa Shogunate. Masters of this lineage trained for decades to master minute architectural drafting, textile patterning, and natural mineral pigment application.
