Overview
A stunning example of American Carnival Glass featuring the iconic 'Peacock at the Urn' pattern in a vibrant marigold iridescence.
Story
In 1908, the glass world was turned upside down when manufacturers discovered how to mimic the expensive, hand-blown iridescent glass of Tiffany and Steuben using mass-production techniques.
Maker / Origin
Harry Northwood, an English immigrant and son of a legendary glass carver, founded his company in West Virginia with a vision to bring high-art aesthetics to the masses.
Condition & Value
The iridescence appears exceptionally well-preserved with strong orange and pink highlights. There is no visible 'silvering' (loss of the metallic coating) on the high points of the peacock motif. The ruffled edges appear free of the typical 'flea bites' or chips often found on these pieces.

Comparable demand stays strongest where maker, originality, and venue confidence line up. Broader examples still trade, but the range tightens quickly when provenance, condition, or selling lane fit is missing.
