Aoki Mokubei was one of the master potters of late Edo Kyoto, celebrated for bringing Chinese literati painting aesthetics into ceramic art. This bottle translates Chinese mountain-and-water brushwork onto a delicate crackle-glazed Tokkuri, designed for cultured tea and sake gatherings.
