Long before diamonds dominated, ancient royalty prized amethyst as a cardinal gem of power and temperance. In the late 20th century, studio jewelers revived raw, tumbled cuts to celebrate the natural crystal inclusions.

While unsigned, this piece reflects the flourishing modernist and bohemian studio craft movement of the late 20th century. Lapidaries and jewelers during this period shifted focus away from rigid, heavily faceted cuts in favor of organic, baroque, and tumbled gemstone briolettes that highlighted natural stone textures.
Condition & Value
Appears in very good vintage condition with all stone drops intact and securely linked. Natural internal veiling and micro-fractures are inherent to tumbled amethyst quartz and do not constitute damage.
