This is the revered Seiko SKX013 (case reference 7S26-0030), the mid-size 38mm sibling to the legendary SKX007. Featuring an ISO-certified 200m water resistance, screw-down crown at 4 o'clock, and the bulletproof 7S26 automatic workhorse movement, it has become one of the most sought-after modern vintage tool watches.
Story
Introduced in the late 1990s, the SKX013 solved a big dilemma: true ISO dive-spec toughness in a classic 38mm size. It became a cult icon after being discontinued, coveted worldwide by collectors for its perfect proportions.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori in Tokyo, Seiko revolutionized watchmaking multiple times—from creating Japan's first wristwatch to launching the quartz revolution in 1969. Seiko's dive watch lineage, started in 1965 with the 62MAS, is celebrated for extreme reliability and utilitarian engineering.
Condition & Value
Shows honest tool-watch wear consistent with regular use: light scratches on the crystal and case, wear along the bezel insert edge, and surface grime around the caseback and end links. All parts appear original, including the Seiko-signed Jubilee bracelet. Surface wear and needed cleaning reduce value slightly from mint specimens.
