Originating in the Daishoji clan domain of Kaga Province (modern-day Ishikawa Prefecture), Kutani wares are celebrated for their 'Gosaite' (five colors: green, yellow, red, purple, and dark blue). While ancient Ko-Kutani dates back to the mid-1600s, 20th-century workshops continued hand-decorating porcelain using these historic motifs and the iconic Fuku mark.
