Story
Manufactured in West Germany just before the reunification of the country, this bowl represents the final chapter of a divided nation's industrial design. Its label preserves a fleeting moment in geopolitical history.
Maker / Origin
Savoir Vivre was a high-end consumer brand name used by the renowned German glassmaker Walther Glas. Established in 1865 in Saxony, Walther Glas became famous for its brilliant pressed glass and crystal, surviving two world wars and nationalization before finding a new market in the late 20th century with these colorful, artistic tableware lines.
Condition & Value
The bowl appears to be in excellent vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or flea bites. The original paper label is intact and well-preserved. There is very minor shelf wear on the bottom of the pedestal foot. Excellent condition with the original label intact helps command the higher end of the value range.
