While the specific foundry is unidentified, hundreds of small metalworks across America and Britain produced these sturdy frames during the industrial boom. They were built to last generations, utilizing local iron ore and skilled foundry workers who poured molten iron into sand molds to create the decorative joints.

Condition & Value

The frame shows typical wear consistent with age, including chipped white paint, minor surface rust where the paint has worn away, and tarnish on the brass finials. Crucially, the side rails are present, and the cast joints appear intact without major cracks.
