This exquisite footed urn vase features Waterford's famous 'Lismore' pattern, defined by brilliant diamond and wedge cuts that play beautifully with light. The acid-etched 'Waterford' mark on the underside of the base authenticates its Irish lead crystal craftsmanship.
Story
Created in 1952 by designer Miroslav Havel, the Lismore pattern was inspired by the gothic castle architecture of Ireland's Lismore Castle. It became the best-selling crystal pattern in world history, gracing fine dining tables globally.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1783 by George and William Penrose in the port town of Waterford, Ireland, the factory gained an international reputation for exceptionally clear, heavy lead glass. Though forced to close in 1851 due to steep British taxation, the brand was gloriously revived in 1947 by Charles Bacik and Miroslav Havel, reclaiming its status as a pinnacle of luxury.
