Overview
This set includes two 'Official Business' (O.B.) overprinted stamps from the Commonwealth era and one 1950 Air Mail commemorative stamp.
Story
In 1935, the Philippines began a ten-year transition toward independence, a period known as the Commonwealth that was tragically interrupted by World War II.
Maker / Origin
The Commonwealth-era stamps were largely designed and engraved by the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, D.C., using the same master-craftsmen who produced American currency.
Condition & Value
The stamps appear to be 'used' or 'cancelled-to-order,' with visible postmarks. These are relatively common philatelic items.
