Overview
This is a certified 'Doubled Die Reverse' (DDR) variety of the Homestead National Monument quarter, part of the America the Beautiful series.
Story
In 2015, the Philadelphia Mint accidentally released a series of quarters that contained a fascinating mechanical hiccup known as a 'doubled die.'
Maker / Origin
The United States Mint at Philadelphia is the nation's oldest mint, established in 1792 under the Coinage Act.
Condition & Value
Graded MS 64 by NGC. The coin shows attractive mint luster with only minor contact marks or 'bag marks' consistent with a high-grade uncirculated coin. The protective slab ensures the coin will not tarnish or suffer wear from handling. Condition is solid for the grade.
