Overview
This is a footed octagonal console bowl featuring a stunning iridescent 'lustre' glaze in a mottled rose-pink.
Story
During the 1930s, American pottery houses in the 'Clay Corridor' of Ohio were competing to bring a sense of affordable luxury to homes during the Great Depression.
Maker / Origin
While this piece is unsigned, its form and glaze are highly consistent with the output of the Hull Pottery Company or Weller Pottery.
Condition & Value
The glaze appears to be in excellent condition with very little 'crazing' (fine cracks) visible. Unsigned American art pottery from this era remains highly collectible but affordable.
