Story
The silhouette of these lamps traces its lineage back to the metal workshops of the Bauhaus in Germany, where designers sought to create objects that were both beautiful and mass-producible.
Maker / Origin
While these are contemporary imports, they are heavily inspired by the work of Christian Dell, a master silversmith who directed the metal workshop at the Bauhaus from 1922 to 1925.
Condition & Value
The lamps appear to be in good used condition with the chrome retaining a high luster. The modern wiring and 'Made in China' label suggest they are safe for immediate use with standard bulbs. Minor surface scratches on the red enamel are typical for these pieces and do not significantly detract from their decorative appeal.
