A striking example of Polish 'heavy base' glasswork, featuring a deep smoky amber hue that transitions into a massive, clear solid glass pedestal.
Story
Poland has been a powerhouse of European glassmaking since the 13th century, but it was during the mid-to-late 20th century that their 'heavy base' designs became a global sensation.
Maker / Origin
While many Polish glassworks produced this style, Krosno (established in 1923) is the most likely origin for a piece of this quality.
Condition & Value
The glass appears to be in excellent condition with no visible 'flea bites' or chips on the rim. Polish export glass is highly respected for its quality but was produced in significant quantities.
