Overview

A classic example of American Carnival Glass featuring the 'Stippled Strawberry' pattern with a ruffled 'pie crust' edge.

Story

In 1908, the Fenton Art Glass Company introduced a shimmering, iridescent glass meant to compete with the high-end 'Favrile' glass of Louis Comfort Tiffany.

Maker / Origin

Harry Northwood, the son of a legendary English glassmaker, established his company in West Virginia and became the king of the Carnival Glass era.

Condition & Value

The iridescence appears well-preserved with nice pink and gold highlights. No major chips or 'flea bites' are visible on the delicate ruffled edges. Marigold is the most common color for this pattern, which keeps the price accessible.
