Overview
This is an extraordinary example of high-horology from the world's most prestigious watchmaker, featuring a hand-painted enamel miniature dial.
Story
On March 3, 1892, this watch was officially certified at the Patek Philippe workshop on the Grand-Quai in Geneva, just three years after the firm won the Grand Prix at the Paris Universal Exposition.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and Adrien Philippe, the firm revolutionized watchmaking with the invention of the keyless winding system.
Condition & Value
The watch appears remarkably well-preserved in its original presentation box. Patek Philippe is the 'blue chip' of the watch world; having the original 1892 certificate and box (the 'full set') exponentially increases the value.
