Overview
This is a classic collection of American-made stoneware featuring the 'Blue Heather' pattern, characterized by its rustic cream body and folk-art inspired blue floral motifs.
Story
In 1976, as America celebrated its Bicentennial, a massive cultural shift toward 'Early American' and country-style aesthetics took over the suburban home.
Maker / Origin
The Pfaltzgraff family began their potting tradition in York County, Pennsylvania, in the early 1800s, making them one of the oldest pottery names in America.
Condition & Value
The photos show visible wear and thinning of the blue glaze along the rim of the top serving dish, which is typical for pieces that have seen heavy use. While Pfaltzgraff is iconic, the market is currently well-supplied with 1980s stoneware.
