Overview

A classic English red-clay teapot featuring the patented 'Non-Skid' safety design and ornate hand-applied enamel decoration.

Story

In the 1930s, the Price Brothers pottery in Burslem solved a domestic crisis that had plagued tea drinkers for centuries: the lid sliding off and smashing during the final pour.

Maker / Origin

Price Brothers operated out of the Top Bridge Works in Burslem, the 'Mother Town' of the English Potteries district.

Condition & Value

The teapot appears to be in very good vintage condition with the raised enamel 'jewels' largely intact. Value is driven by the completeness of the set (having the original lid is vital) and the condition of the delicate raised enamel.
