Overview

A classic example of American Art Pottery featuring a rich, multi-toned green drip glaze over a globular form.

Story

In the early 1900s, William Hill Fulper II transformed his family’s utilitarian drainpipe and jug business into a world-renowned art pottery studio by looking backward to ancient Chinese ceramic secrets.

Maker / Origin

Fulper Pottery is one of the oldest names in American ceramics, dating back to 1814, but it reached its artistic peak during the Arts and Crafts movement.

Condition & Value

The glaze shows some minor 'pinholing' and surface peppering, which are common manufacturing artifacts of this era. Quick ID could not verify a named-artist market here, so this is intentionally priced like decorative/local-sale art.
