Overview
A stunningly preserved example of 1970s Swiss horology, featuring a brushed stainless steel 'tonneau' case and a minimalist silvered sunburst dial.
Story
During the early 1970s, the watch world was obsessed with 'integrated' design, where the watch case and strap flowed together as a single sculptural piece.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt, Omega has served as the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932 and famously produced the first watch worn on the moon.
Condition & Value
The dial is in remarkable condition with no visible spotting or 'foxing,' which is rare for a 50-year-old timepiece. The case retains its original factory brushing, suggesting it has never been over-polished by a jeweler. The strap is a modern leather replacement, which is standard and does not detract from the value of the head.
