Overview
A classic example of California's 'Golden Age' of ceramics, featuring a rich, multi-tonal green drip glaze on a bulbous earthenware body.
Story
Post-war California was a hotbed of creative experimentation where hundreds of 'garage potteries' blossomed into influential studios.
Maker / Origin
Founded by Virgil Haldeman in the 1930s, Haldeman Potteries became a staple of the 'California Color' movement.
Condition & Value
The glaze appears remarkably bright with a high gloss and no visible 'crazing' (fine cracking). While beautiful and highly collectible for Mid-Century Modern enthusiasts, these smaller planters were produced in significant quantities.
