Overview

This is the 'flagship' of the Omega line from the golden era of mechanical watchmaking, featuring the iconic faceted 'pie-pan' dial and a chronometer-grade automatic movement.

Story

In the mid-20th century, the ultimate test of a watch wasn't its depth rating, but its performance at the Geneva Observatory. Omega created the Constellation line to celebrate their dominance in these precision trials, placing an emblem of the observatory…

Maker / Origin

Founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt, Omega evolved from a small Swiss workshop into the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games and the choice of NASA for the Apollo moon missions.

Condition & Value

The acrylic crystal is heavily scratched and requires replacement to reveal the dial's true beauty. The crown is a generic replacement rather than the original ten-sided decagonal version. The movement shows some oxidation and the rotor appears to be from a different caliber, which reduces the 'all-original' premium by roughly 30%.
