Overview
A striking example of American Mid-Century studio-style pottery featuring a high-gloss amber body and a 'snow-capped' reactive drip glaze.
Story
During the late 1960s, American homes underwent a color revolution, moving away from the pastel 'atomic' shades of the 50s toward the deep browns, golds, and greens of the 'Back to the Earth' movement.
Maker / Origin
While the maker's mark is likely on the underside, this style was perfected by the great Ohio potteries like Hull, McCoy, and Royal Haeger.
Condition & Value
The glaze appears to have retained its high-mirror shine with no obvious 'crazing' (fine cracking). Value for American drip glaze is driven by size and the 'drama' of the drip.
