Overview
A charming ceramic 'posy ring' designed to hold water and short-stemmed flowers in a low-profile circular arrangement.
Story
During the mid-20th century, the American dining table underwent a social revolution where heavy, tall centerpieces were replaced by low-profile arrangements that encouraged face-to-face conversation.
Maker / Origin
Johann Martin Stangl, who began his career at the famous Fulper Pottery, eventually took over the company and rebranded it as Stangl Pottery in 1929.
Condition & Value
The piece appears to be in excellent vintage condition with the 'Stangl' signature clearly legible on the foot. Stangl flower rings are a staple of mid-century collectibles; while not rare, they are consistently popular.
