Overview
A vintage philatelic presentation set commemorating the Apollo 11 moon landing, featuring a 'Luna 69' First Day Cover and a block of four matching stamps.
Story
On July 20, 1969, the world stood still as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on another world. This 'Luna 69' set was issued by Mexico just weeks later, capturing the global 'Moon Fever' that saw countries across the planet…
Maker / Origin
The Mexican Postal Service (Correos de México) produced this series as part of a worldwide wave of 'Space Philately.'
Condition & Value
The set appears to be in very good condition, preserved within its original presentation folder. There is minor evidence of 'toning' (natural yellowing of the paper) consistent with its 50-plus year age. The stamps and cover appear crisp with no visible tears or heavy creasing.
