Story
In the late 1940s, Mary and Conrad Buff spent their summers exploring the desert landscapes of Utah, specifically the area around Zion National Park.
Maker / Origin
Mary Marsh Buff was a librarian and teacher, while her Swiss-born husband, Conrad Buff, was a renowned landscape painter and muralist whose work is held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Condition & Value
The dust jacket is in poor condition with a large vertical tear on the front right edge and significant chipping at the corners and spine. While the Buffs are highly collectible, this is a 1965 reprint rather than the 1949 first edition.
