Story
In the mid-20th century, designers began experimenting with materials originally developed for wartime aircraft, and by the 1970s, Lucite had become the ultimate symbol of 'Jet Set' sophistication.
Maker / Origin
While often unsigned, pieces of this quality were pioneered by 'Mr. Lucite' himself, Charles Hollis Jones, who famously designed for Frank Sinatra and Lucille Ball.
Condition & Value
The acrylic appears to have excellent clarity with no major yellowing or cloudiness visible. Value is driven by the current high demand for vintage Lucite in interior design.
