Post-war Italy saw a massive boom in 'frutta di vetro' (glass fruit) as international travelers flocked to Venice and brought back these sun-drenched souvenirs of the Mediterranean.
Maker / Origin
While many of these were produced by smaller family workshops on the island of Murano, the style was popularized by legendary firms like Venini and Seguso.
