Overview
This is a monumental example of Irish lead crystal, featuring the iconic Lismore pattern which has defined luxury glassware for over 70 years.
Story
In 1952, designer Miroslav Havel sat down in a small factory in Ireland to create a pattern inspired by the gothic windows and battlements of Lismore Castle.
Maker / Origin
Waterford Crystal was originally founded in 1783, but its modern legacy was forged by Czech immigrants and Irish artisans who rebuilt the brand from scratch after WWII.
Condition & Value
The vase appears to be in excellent condition with high clarity and no visible 'sickness' (clouding). Value is driven by the size and the iconic status of the Lismore pattern.
