Overview
This is a monumental piece of American art glass, characterized by its vibrant 'Ruby' hue and a dramatic, hand-pulled serpentine handle.
Story
Milton, West Virginia, became the unlikely epicenter of modern design in the mid-20th century as Blenko Glass began producing these oversized, colorful vessels.
Maker / Origin
Founded by William J. Blenko in 1921, the company originally specialized in stained glass for cathedrals, including the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
Condition & Value
The glass appears remarkably clear with no signs of 'glass sickness' or internal clouding. Large-scale Blenko pieces in the classic Ruby color are highly sought after by MCM collectors.
