Story
In 1946, to celebrate a century of craftsmanship, the A.T. Cross company released a design so perfect it remained virtually unchanged for over seventy years.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1846 by Richard Cross, an English immigrant and jeweler, the company originally specialized in ornate silver and gold casings for wooden pencils.
Condition & Value
The set shows honest wear consistent with use; the pencil's internal mechanism shows some oxidation near the eraser, which is common for its age. While these sets were produced in high volume, vintage gold-filled examples in good working order maintain steady demand from collectors and daily users.
