Overview
A delicate example of 'Elegant Glass' featuring a ruffled 'handkerchief' rim, a horizontally ribbed neck, and a bulbous base with vertical fins.
Story
During the transition from the ornate Victorian era to the more streamlined 1920s, American glasshouses sought ways to bring the look of expensive hand-cut crystal to the growing middle class.
Maker / Origin
While many of these pieces are unsigned, they were the bread and butter of legendary American glasshouses in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
Condition & Value
The glass appears clear with no significant 'sick glass' clouding visible. The ruffled edges, which are highly prone to chipping, appear intact in the photos. Quick ID could not verify a named-artist market here, so this is intentionally priced like decorative/local-sale art.
