Story
In 1810, the city of Stuttgart was the heart of the newly elevated Kingdom of Württemberg, a state that had risen to power through a strategic alliance with Napoleon Bonaparte.
Maker / Origin
Conrad Münch was a celebrated 'Hofbronzier' (Court Bronzier) in Stuttgart, a master craftsman whose workshop provided high-end metalwork for the Württemberg royalty.
Condition & Value
The candelabra appear to be in excellent antique condition with the original gilding remaining remarkably bright. Value is driven by the rarity of the maker's signature, the fact that they remain a matched pair, and the high quality of the original gilding.
