In 1977, just two years before his death, Joichi Hoshi was at the absolute zenith of his artistic powers, focusing on the spiritual connection between the earth and the cosmos.
Maker / Origin
Joichi Hoshi didn't begin his formal art career until he was 33, after returning to Japan from Taiwan following WWII.
Condition & Value
The print appears well-preserved within the matting, with the deep blues remaining vibrant and the metallic leaf intact. Joichi Hoshi's market is exceptionally strong, particularly for his late-period works from the 1970s.
