Overview
This is a professional-series recreation of the legendary 'Beast' played by AC/DC's Malcolm Young, featuring a chambered mahogany body and a distinctive natural-finish maple top.
Story
In 1963, a young Malcolm Young was given a Gretsch Jet Firebird that would eventually change the sound of rock music forever.
Maker / Origin
Gretsch was founded in Brooklyn in 1883 and became a household name in the 1950s thanks to endorsements from Chet Atkins and George Harrison.
Condition & Value
The instrument appears to be in excellent condition with no visible 'buckle rash' or significant dings on the top. Value is driven by the specific model iteration and the current high demand for Japanese-made 'Professional Collection' Gretsches.
