Story
By 1979, the Swiss watchmaking world was fighting for its life during the 'Quartz Crisis,' a period where traditional mechanical watches were being outpaced by high-tech electronic movements.
Maker / Origin
Founded in 1848, Omega is the only watch brand to have been to the moon, but the De Ville collection was created to conquer the ballroom rather than the lunar surface.
Condition & Value
The crystal shows significant scratching and the dial appears to have some moisture spotting or 'foxing' around the edges, particularly near the 4 and 5 o'clock positions. While Omega is a top-tier brand, vintage quartz models are currently more affordable than their mechanical counterparts.
