Overview

A whimsical, crown-shaped decorative vessel featuring six flared petals tipped with spheres and a base band inset with glass cabochons.

Story

Post-war designers in the 1950s and 60s were obsessed with 'Old World' glamour, often reimagining royal symbols for the modern home. This piece wasn't meant for a monarch's head, but rather to act as a 'relique' holder or a sophisticated votive for a flickering candle.

Maker / Origin

While this piece lacks a visible maker's mark, it is highly consistent with the 'giftware' produced by mid-century silver firms or boutique workshops that specialized in silver-plated brass.

Condition & Value

The piece shows significant tarnish and wear to the silver plating, particularly on the interior base, which is consistent with age and use. The inset glass stones appear to be intact, and the structural integrity of the flared points is excellent.
